Observing the friendships and confidence obtained by new students, it is hard to believe they joined Ardingly College a couple of months ago. Moving to a new school or a new year group can be a daunting prospect but with a full programme of integration activities the transition is made far easier.
Year 7’s enjoyed an overnight stay at a teambuilding camp at Juniper Hall. Shell enjoyed a morning of watersports on the reservoir. The LVI had an integration day and boarders spent an afternoon of laserquest in our woods. Food is always guaranteed to bring teenagers together; a street food festival on the café plaza, party in the (car) park and safari lunches did just that. In addition, members of the SMT spent time with each house over a pizza or two.
