Yesterday marked our 75th annual House Song competition. It was an electrifying afternoon of house music, with a country music twist!
Each house showcased their talent with a whole house song and an ensemble performance. Jason Mathias of Brighton College faced the challenging task of selecting the winners. The overall victors were Mertens with their rendition of “Wake Me Up”. Aberdeen claimed the ensemble prize with their soulful rendition of “Just the Way You Are”. In the Upper Sixth competition Woodard Boys, who made a memorable entrance on scooters, took home the new Woodard prize with their energetic rendition of “Life is a Highway”.
