The second Senior Slam Poetry competition took place in The Chapel recently. In the words of one of the competitors, ‘The quality of performances was even higher than last year’, with Raquel G taking the laurels for her exceptional rendition of her own untitled poem, and Seth R taking second place with an unforgettable performance of the poem, ‘Perfectionist’.
Many thanks go to Mr Greene for hosting the event, Mrs Ennos, Mr Walmsley and Mr Smith for sharing their own performances, and to the excellent music provided by Daniel Yu and Adam Dring. Biggest thanks, however, go to Miss Harrison – whose brainchild the Slam Poetry Competition is – and Ms Gull who had the unenviable task of judging the competition.
